(astronomy, by extension) The three bright stars (Alnitak (ζ Ori), Alnilam (ε Ori), and Mintaka (δ Ori)) that form Orion's Belt in the Orion constellation. In Western Christianity, today is Epiphany, which commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ child.
